Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Johnson City is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Johnson City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I just want to thank the staff at Evergreen who helped me with my Jade Tree. I was having issues with it and brought it in to seek some advice. The ladies were very patient with me and even took the time to repot it for me with some fresh potting soil and advice on how to take care of it better. I appreciate the service that you provided me.

Evergreen of Johnson City is easily one of the best garden centers in East Tennessee. The moment you walk in, you can tell this place is much more than just a plant store. Everything is well organized, beautifully maintained, and packed with an incredible variety of healthy plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, pottery, garden dΓ©cor, and landscaping supplies. What really makes Evergreen stand out is the staff. Everyone we spoke with was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about gardening. Whether youβre a beginner trying to keep one houseplant alive or someone planning a full landscaping project, they actually take the time to help and answer questions instead of just pointing you toward an aisle. One of the coolest parts of the store is the water garden and pond section. They have pond fish for sale along with supplies for ponds and water features, which gives the place a unique atmosphere you donβt find at most garden centers. Itβs honestly fun just walking around and exploring everything they carry. You can also tell they care about the local community with their gardening seminars, seasonal events, and focus on helping people succeed with plants in the Tennessee clim

The nursery is beautiful to shop, but working with the company on landscaping and installation has been a true nightmare for me. I paid for several evergreens and an oak last year. After many no shows one man with a shovel showed up to do the entire installation. Afterwards, all but one evergreen died. I have been calling since early spring to have the trees replanted and they keep telling me they are too busy and when I finally get a date on the calendar, they donβt show up. I have used this company for years in the past, but last year thru present, my experience has been nothing but frustrating. I wouldnβt recommend.

First time visiting! Totally overwhelmed! Fantastic! Beautiful! Was there for two hours and had only covered 1/3 of the nursery! OUTSTANDING! If you canβt find it there, you probably will not find it anywhere! If you love gardening, youβll LOVE EVERGREEN of Johnson City! β€οΈ

They have a huge variety of plants, flowers, and trees. The price is a little higher but if you look hard you can usually find smaller cuts for cheaper. My only complaint is it is hard to find items unless you already know what they look like. The line moves slow at checkout but you can pay cash or card
